Weght Loss - Losing Weight for your Wedding Day

Almost every woman I have ever met has three main areas that she is most interested in improving or changing about her body. And when you have an amazing dress to fit into for your wedding day, you have some strong motivation to get you going. When you know that your arms are going to be shown off in your dress, and your legs are going to be on display as the garter is removed and you are going to spend the majority of the wedding ceremony with your back to everyone, you better be happy with being the centre of attention.

So what should you do about it? Here are a few tips to getting that look you want.

Do resistance or weight training exercises using your body weight, free weights or cables. Weight training is the most effective way to burn off unwanted body fat and melt away the kilos. By using your body weight, free weights and cables you will be using stabiliser muscles to help balance and support you during the exercises and will find it is more difficult to control and coordinate movements. By hitting these stabilisers you will be working more muscles and burning more fat by doing so.

Do exercises that involve the largest number of muscles at a time. A shaping exercise which focuses on your calf muscle will not be as beneficial as a compound movement such as doing a squat press which will use almost all of the muscles in your body to support it. A squat press will involve your legs, butt, tummy, shoulders and arms all in the one movement and will also help to boost your metabolism for hours after your workout. These compound movements are easily identifiable as the ones that allow you to lift the most weight.

Do full body workouts that will work your upper body and lower body at the same time. This will allow you to put the most into your workout and the more you put in, the more you will get out! Muscles work together for every day tasks so they should be worked together in the gym as well. By training your muscles in this manner you will also benefit from not having to spend as much time in the gym. Three full body weights workouts each week will leave you feeling fit and strong, send your metabolism through the roof and have you burning fat like never before.

Do your exercises back to back. If you have a leg exercise, pair it up with a chest or back exercise to save you time in the gym and to keep the intensity up. By doing this you are giving your muscles active rest, where the upper body is rested while the lower body works and the lower body rested while the upper body works. You will also find that you will burn more calories this way.

Keep your rest between exercises to a minimum. If you are having three minutes rest between exercises you have lost the intensity you are trying to create as well as wasting precious time in the gym. Keep your rest periods below one minute. If you are ready to go to the next exercise after 30 seconds then by all means get into it. The faster you get the exercises done, the faster you can move on to more wedding planning or just relaxing. However, you must be doing the exercises with the correct technique and with a suitable weight.

Don't worry too much about cardio unless you have extra time to workout. Cardio has been proven to not be as effective for weight loss as weight training. Focus on completing your three weights workouts each week and if you have more time you can do some extra cardio. If you are doing extra cardio, interval training is the way to go as it helps to increase metabolism and will burn more fat that steady cardio.

If you combine these principles you will get your legs, arms and tummy looking amazing on your wedding day and leave everyone in awe of your stunning figure. For a program designed just for ladies getting ready for their wedding, go to www.BeachBodyBride.com.
