“Do you take this Bangladeshi midwife, saucepans for a local soup kitchen and a cure for cancer to be your wedding gifts”? “WE DO”!
With the average ages of brides and grooms today at 29 and 31 respectively, many have all the dishes, platters and bedding they need.
That’s why the excitement is building for the karma currency Charitable Gift Registry.
Now hundreds of couples are able to mark their BIG DAY with a charitable gift registry that can fight malaria, rescue gorillas, educate minds, reunite war torn families, protect forests and more.
Ashley Rosshandler, Karma Currency CEO said: “After successfully launching Karma Currency Charity Gift Vouchers late last year at www.karmacurrency.com.au we couldn’t wait to launch our Charitable Gift Registry.
“Online, the happy couple can pick whether they wish to save children, rescue animals, fight disease, protect forests and more. They can print out a gift registry notification; pop it in the invitation and Bingo!
“I believe that as companies start to wonder about their environmental footprint, many brides to be are beginning to question the effect their stiletto are having on the environment too.
But Karma currency is clean and totally green, quick and easy – but best of all, it’s meaningful. And because it’s a gift to charity, the guests all get a tax deductible too. Plus, the gift registry is not just for weddings but also for engagements, birthdays, and any other big event!”
Over 100 charities have signed up to be part of Karma Currency’s new initiative, and so far, in only two months nearly $100,000 has been raised through Charitable Gift Vouchers which that will make a meaningful difference in the world.
“The Charitable Gift Vouchers have had a great response so far but we hope our Charitable Gift Voucher will be even bigger!” Mr Rosshandler said.

Frequently asked questions
How much of the money gets to the charities? 100% reaches the chosen charity. We achieve this by charging the gift giver a small processing fee of $4.95. This processing fee covers credit card fees, account management and order processing. The fee also covers donation administration and distribution. karma currency charges this fee for its service above and beyond the charitable donations so that chosen charity beneficiaries don't incur any new costs.
